Highlighting the success of the previous edition, Connecting Green Hydrogen MENA 2023 (CGHM2023) witnessed a remarkable turnout of 1,500 attendees. The conference featured distinguished C-level speakers and VIPs from leading global hydrogen companies like DEWA, ADNOC, ACWA Power, Masdar, NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, BP, Engie, Aurubis, Verbund, EDF Renewables, Total Eren, Gasunie, and more.
The event also saw the participation of notable Ministers and Officials, including H.E. Tinne Van Der Straeten, Minister For Energy of Belgium, representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE, Department of Energy Abu Dhabi, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy.

During CGHM2023, the prestigious Hydrogen Future Awards took place, recognizing outstanding achievements in the field. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was honored with the Hydrogen Project of the Year 2023 Award for its green hydrogen project at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Additionally, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, was awarded the World Energy Transition Leader 2023, acknowledging his significant contributions to the global growth of the clean energy industry.
Mr. Al Tayer commented on DEWA's recognition, stating, "At DEWA, we work in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to consolidate Dubai's position as a global model in sustainability and using clean and renewable energy. Green hydrogen represents one of the pillars of a sustainable future that depends on accelerating the transition to carbon neutrality to support a green economy."
Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) also received recognition at the Hydrogen Future Awards. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO at Masdar, expressed his pride in receiving the Hydrogen Future Energy Leader of the Year and Hydrogen Trailblazer of the Year Awards, stating, "I am proud that Masdar's position as a Green Hydrogen leader has been recognized at Connecting Green Hydrogen MENA 2023 Hydrogen Future Energy Awards ceremony. These awards reflect Masdar's rapidly expanding green hydrogen footprint."
"Thanks for having me Connecting Green Hydrogen MENA 2023," expressed Stephan Gobert, Chief Strategy, Innovation & Customer Experience Officer at ENGIE. He further added, "I was honored to share some of our recent findings on the development of renewable hydrogen projects.
